Footwear (50% Role)/Leather with Lycra® (LwL 50%Role) Sales & Market Development Specialist - Technology Ventures (Business Development)
Location : China/Guangzhou Office or Shanghai Office
Reports to: Global Business Manager Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing
Responsibilities:
* Market development of royalty and non-royalty bearing programs with licensees for LwL applications
* Account representative for tannery licensees in China (includes coordinating support for export demand)
* Direct sales of Lycra® and other Invista® offerings associated with LwL and/or Footwear in China
* Contributor on small (4-5 person) LwL business growth team, representing Asia.
* Evaluate market opportunity, developing royalty bearing LwL Footwear Licensee Programs for China.
* Evaluate market opportunity, developing non-royalty bearing pull through applications for LwL in garment, upholstery and/or automotive applications for China.
* Work with Global Technical Leader to assess potential tanneries for LwL technology, develop outline for business case, get Confidentiality Agreements in place, develop terms sheet for negotiations, negotiate and put in place commercial trademark and technology agreements, and follow up to audit and improve royalty bearing sales.
* Provide LwL market pull-though support for Footwear, Apparel, Upholstery and Accessories applications in China and for export.
* Primary account representative to Lycra® customers, purchasing fiber primarily for Footwear.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
* A college diploma
* At least 2 years working experience in related field
* Understanding and concept about trading
* Able to work independently on sales & marketing in China.
* Able to work based on communication & direction from a global team.
* Fluent verbal and written communication capability in both English and Mandarin
* Good computer application skill is a must
* A team player with pleasant personality, hard working spirit, willingness to learn and take great challenges
