Head of Sales – Greater China

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate must be a motivated professional with excellent project management and writing skills. Candidate must be able to grow positive working relationships with vendors and colleagues at all organizational levels. Candidates must be flexible and possess outstanding decision-making skills. You should be extremely proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, and work well in a fast-paced group.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Build and lead the Chinese sales and operations team.
2. Meet and exceed regional advertising revenue targets.
3. Generate AdWords awareness at regional level and in key sectors.
4. Pro-actively forge major advertising/syndication partnerships.
5. Contribute to shaping Chinese commercial strategy while implementing the corporate vision.
WORKING & REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to: Sales Director in California, US
QUALIFICATIONS & IDEAL EXPERIENCE
1. Capability to effectively operate remotely.
2. Experience in dealing with business issues and sensitivity to managing needs of Mainland China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
3. Affinity for working with a global organization headquartered in the US with strong Asian presence.
4. Ability to establish/foster key client/agency contacts at executive levels of partner organizations.
5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
6. Background in online advertising sales, business development and management a strong plus.
7. Flexibility for travel as required.
8. 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of online advertising sales experience.
9. University degree; MBA degree preferred.
10. Fluency in Mandarin and Simplified Chinese writing and a strong command of English is required. Fluency in Cantonese and Traditional Chinese writing is preferred.
